The General Assembly of Palestinian Youth Union held on Thursday, 10/5/2018, at PYU headquarters in Ramallah, its ordinary meeting, in the presence of General Assembly members , Board of Directors and PYU representatives ,General Director Mr. Muharram Barghouti , Administrative Director Mr. Riad Al-Atari, Media & PR Coordinator Ms. Samiha Omar and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh representative as the financial auditor for 2017.
General Director Mr. Muharram Barghouthi spoke about the youth reality and the role of civil society organizations in Palestine during 2017, the challenges facing them. Discussing the most important obstacles imposed by the Israeli occupation and some donation institutions, and stressed the continuation of PYU
work to bring change through a series of programs that work within the overall strategy.
The Administrative Director, Mr. Riad Al-Atari, presented the administrative report, which reviewed the most important achievements and challenges through which the Union seeks to create a better reality for young youth.
representative of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Mr. Musa Suleiman, presented the budget for 2017.
Discussions and inquiries were raised & answered, then General Assembly approved the administrative and budget reports.
A new Board of Directors was elected for the next session.
The Board consists of five male members and four females. The tasks were distributed among its first sessions as , Ahlam Al Khudair Chairman of the Board , Mahmoud Al-Qadi, Deputy Chairman of the Board, Salem Al Zaban Secretary, Salah Qassem Haj Ali, Treasurer, Aghsan Barghouti, Salwa Hammad, Ahmed Abu Hijla, Khamis Al-Qadi and Sawsan Madini, are members .
